Whats In The Box

Say hello to my new MacBook Pro! Its not actually my birthday until August 16th but my mum decided to buy me my present a month early. I pretty much have the best mum ever! I got my last MBP for my 19th birthday so its impressive that my old one is still going strong. But my 3 year AppleCare had run out last September so if anything were to happen to it I would be shelling out a lot of money on a really old model. Just gotta find someone to buy it now. I can't let it go just yet as I haven't installed Adobe CS5 on the new one so I can't actually edit photos or do any kind of design work. I only had CS3 on the old one so thats another nice new upgrade I'll get to explore. You can see from my desktops that I love ridiculous vampire romances haha. I also got this beautiful new case from Liberty. The floral pattern is offset so it gets really trippy if you look at it for too long. A nice upgrade on my plain old purple one I got from the Apple Store.

I'm really enjoying the massive amounts of RAM, HD space and OS X Lion. I turned off the backwards scrolling and autocorrect so its a lot easier to use. I love the tap to click feature and the revamped Mail application. I only upgraded because I got Lion for free from buying a new Mac but I would say its worth the effort. Everything just seems loads faster, sleeker and fun. If you're thinking of buying a new computer, deffo save up for a Mac. They might be expensive but I couldn't even consider going back to using a PC now. Long live the new Maccy King!

  4. I've been considering disposing of my little, unable to run two things at once, hp netbook for a while now. But I dont think I could justify shelling out for a mac, sigh. I did go into comet yesterday and peruse the apple section though and was torn between the mac and the air - the debate on whether to finance one continues

  7. I just got one in June and I love it, especially comparing it to my old macbook! I have never and will never go PC so I totally agree with you on that one, they're so worth saving up for. Lion is amazing, it's fast and mission control is really good, too, especially with all the different touch functions on the keyboard! I'm glad you're enjoying yours and your case looks cute, too :-)

  14. I love Mac's so much, I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to using PC's now! And that case is absolutely gorgeous, I love how the offset print makes it totally different from all the other floral print cases out there. x

  15. Yay how cool :) that case is lovely!! I've had my Macbook pro a lil while now, it's so handy having a laptop again (my old powerbook died a year or so ago) but I still do all my design work and editing on my imac for the big screen. I didn't think it was possible to spend even more time on the internet than I was already. :s

  16. When I discovered Apple when I was at uni, my PC laptop was only six months old when I decided to replace it with a MacBook Pro. I've never looked back! They're just beautiful pieces of technology! I replaced my old one last year, but I still have my old one because I just can't say bye to it, haha. I'm weird. I absolutely adore the case you got for yours. I want to get a Marc by Marc Jacobs one for mine. :)
